Welcome to the best d*** website this side of the pearly gates!
I've got a number of updates for this website planned out, but it's going to take me some time to actually do it! Here's a quick little checklist:
Forum – Yes, I'm going to create my OWN forum!!! The way it will work is this: I create the forum, I decide who gets to post in the forum, my friends and family get to post whatever they want, whenever they want! (I will be moderating it for inappropriate material, of course). What better way to keep track of everyone going off to college than to have a message board set up for all of us right here?
Improved Games and Quotes pages – So, I've had the same Games and Quotes on those pages since I created this website... I think it's about time I updated them...
An opening sequence??? - I'm considering adding in an opening sequence for when the site first loads. Nothing Fancy, just an animation to announce my site before you actually enter it.
Videos? - I don't know about all of you, but I've definitely become a fan of Youtube, and as such have realized the coolness of having online videos! I might, in the future, have a videos section added to my website where I have movie clips available for your viewing pleasure! ^_^
Other? - Got a suggestion? Send it to me at a_archambeault2007@yahoo.com with the subject “Archie Website Update.”
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but
shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend
more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger
houses and smaller families, more knowledge but less judgement, more
experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We
drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too
little, drive too fast ,get too angry, stay up too late, get up too
tired, read too little and watch TV too much. We have multiplied our
possessions, but reduced out values. We talk too much, love too
seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned to make a living,
but not a life. We've added years to life, but not life to years.
We've been to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street
to meet a new neighbor. We've conquered outer space but not inner
space. We've done larger things, but not better things.
We
haven't cleaned up the air, and have polluted the soul. We've
conquered the atom but not our prejudice. We've learned to rush, but
not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to
produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and
less.
These are the times of fast food and slow digestion, big
men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses,
but broken homes.
These are the days of quick trips,
disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight
bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.
It is a time when there is much in the show room window and nothing
in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this message to
you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or
to just ignore it.
Remember, spend more time with your loved
ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
